NEWPORT, Wash./EWORLDWIRE/Nov. 13, 2009 --- When the next Twilight film, New Moon, sinks its bloody fangs into global fans Nov. 20, best-selling author of 23 books Steve Wohlberg won't be touting its moral benefits to teens. In fact, Wohlberg's take on the movie is quite the contrary, because of rampant links to the dark and dangerous worlds of occultism and vampirism.

Wohlberg realizes that many parents and teens consider Stephenie Meyer's tantalizing sequence of vampire romances to be wholesome fare because the Edward Cullen character is so noble, and he and Bella Swan wait until after marriage to have sex, yet his concerns are that hidden perils are intertwined with Twilight's "morality," and that Hollywood is fueling a mesmerizing and addictive, bloody phenomenon.

"Twilight is laced with occultism," Wohlberg adamantly warns. "Even the vegetarian vampires crave blood; the Cullens are members of The Olympic Coven, Edward reads minds and has supernatural powers, and shape shifting is showcased. It is these very activities - or the promise of them - that are now luring countless teenagers into the dark and dangerous world of real occultism."

The author's newest book, "The Darkness of Twilight: Hidden Perils Behind Today's Vampire Craze" (Remnant Publications, 2009) counters Twilight fever and exposes exploding interest in real vampirism.
