E-World Recyclers Pitches In With The Padres And Cox Communications At Petco Park

For Immediate Release

VISTA, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/March 9, 2009 --- On Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, E-World Recyclers ('http://www.eworldrecyclers.com') partnered with the San Diego Padres and Cox Communications to host an electronic waste collection event at Petco Park. Throughout the day, crews gathered several tons of worn out computer equipment, televisions, printers, monitors and other devices. Proper disposal and recycling of these items is essential to keeping them out of local landfills and complying with California state law.

"The event clearly demonstrates the sustainability commitment of both the Padres and Cox Communications," said Bob Erie, CEO of E-World Recyclers. "Events such as this also provide a much needed service to the members of the downtown community."

"I'm sure most people have at least a few outdated electronic products that they don't know how to get rid of," Erie continued. "Our services make it easy for the public to clear out their old equipment and dispose of it safely."

Cox Conserves

Cox Communications Cox Conserves program was designed to reduce the company's carbon footprint by 20 percent by 2017 and promote eco-friendly behavior among its employees, communities and other corporations.

In San Diego, Cox Communications and its employees have implemented environmentally friendly practices such as recycling at all its locations and retail stores, using recycled paper products, moving toward a fleet of hybrid vehicles, and educating employees on how they can be more environmentally friendly at work and home.
