April 2-4: IQinVision Introduces Enhanced Multi-Stream Firmware For Retail, Banking And Transportation Applications

At ISC West, Firmware demonstrates 6 separate views within scene, cuts bandwidth and storage demands

Media Advisory

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/March 20, 2008 --- IQinVision, the market leader in megapixel network cameras, today announced that it will introduce new, enhanced multi-stream firmware at the ISC West show in Las Vegas, April 2-4, 2008. This free firmware upgrade provides users with at least six unique simultaneous VGA (640 x 480) video streams from a single IQeye camera, with each stream delivering 12 or more frames per second on 1, 2, and 3 megapixel models and up to 10 fps on 5 megapixel models.

"We've been making multi-stream IQeye cameras since 1998, but this elevates multi-stream to a whole new level," said Paul Bodell, chief marketing officer at IQinVision. "Our new firmware essentially let's you convert your IQeye into six or more standard resolution cameras, with each looking at a different portion of the scene at VGA resolution and high frame rate. By offering this level of detail in numerous places within the scene, our multi-stream is the perfect solution for monitoring multiple tellers, cashiers, or lanes of traffic with a single IQeye."

The new IQeye multi-stream firmware also minimizes bandwidth and storage consumption by streaming only those specific areas of interest. According to Bodell, "If you deploy a multi-megapixel IQeye with a wide-angle lens, you can now select the areas of interest you want to view and record and eliminate the areas that are not interesting."

The firmware upgrade is available for the entire line of IQeye700/750 Day/Night and IQeye 800/850 Sentinel Series megapixel cameras. See the latest details at 'http://www.iqeye.com'.
