Dr. Piero Andrea Oppido will Lead Vycor's clinical education program.

BOHEMIA, N.Y./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 7, 2007 --- Vycor Medical Inc., a medical device innovator focusing in neurosurgery, today announced that Dr. Piero Andrea Oppido, an influential leading neurosurgeon at the National Cancer Institute Regina Elena in Rome, Italy, will lead Vycor's clinical education program in Europe.

Dr. Oppido recently traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to observe surgeries using the Vycor Brain Access System (VBAS) with Dr. Donald O'Rourke at the Pennsylvania Neurological Institute at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. O'Rourke, a brain tumor specialist, has done over 15 cases using the VBAS.
